The integration profile functional example by IHE-J guidelines

SWF integration profile (SWF: Scheduled Workflow, to operate routine work)

This profile defines basic operation of radiological examination. It handles a series of workflow of patient registration, sending and receiving examination order, examination, image storage, image retrieval, and image display. HL7 and DICOM messages are used to cooperate between devices through this function.

PIR integration profile (PIR: Patient Information Reconciliation, to maintain alignment of patient information)

SWF is used as a base. If a patient with unknown name was examined in an emergency room, the name is known later and patient registration is made, then the patient attributes of the stored image data are updated automatically through this function.

CPI integration profile (CPI: Consistent Presentation of Image, to ensure alignment of image display)

About display system of images, if the gray scale of a monitor display and hard copy is reproduced, displayed and output, then consistency and alignment are kept between plural devices through this function.

RWF integration profile (RWF: Reporting Workflow)

About report creation system, Reading Report Study Committee (a joint committee formed by IHE-J Clinical Planning Committee Report Workflow WG and JIRA Reading Report Study Committee) studied conformance of the report workflow in Japan. Its study result was respected and a part of use cases was realized through this function.

PDI integration profile (PDI: Portable Data for Imaging, a rule to exchange data by portable type data media)

If the image information was given off line from the system of other hospital, then simple and smooth integration is possible through this import function.
